Location: Peterborough\n- Position: SEN Tutor (Primary School age)\n- Hours: Approx. 10-40 Hours/week\n- Rate: £25.00 - £35.00 p/hr\n- Contract: Ongoing\n\nWe are a supportive and inclusive educational organization dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring and learning support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Our goal is to ensure that every student, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Tutor to join and support SEN students in a variety of settings across Peterborough.

Each student needs 10-15 hours per week, and here are multiple students needing a tutor, ideally during school time.\n\nRole Overview:\nAs an SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students with SEN, offering tailored, one-to-one or small group support. You will create and implement tailored learning plans, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of students. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils and helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

The students may have a Wide range of SEN, such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, SEMH needs, such as Emotional based school avoider, mental health needs. The main focuses are core subjects, being functional maths and English skills up to level 2 and ESOL up to level 2,and relationship building. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide high-quality, personalized tutoring to students with SEN\nTo assess learners needs and plan and implement tailored and structured programs of learning in line with young persons EHCP outcomes\nMake sure the children feel safe and secure\nWork closely with teachers and parents to track student progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.\nFoster an inclusive, positive, and encouraging learning environment.\nMonitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and educational professionals.\nHelp students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.\nPromote independent learning and help students build confidence in their abilities.Key Skills and Experience:\n\nProven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (ideally 2 years experience)\nExperience teaching either or a range of English, maths and science\nKnowledge of different SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs) and how to deal with them best.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school staff.\nPatience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to a wide range of learning needs.\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one\nA passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.\nA teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or relevant SEN training (e.g., SENDCO, SEN TA experience) that is UK recognised
