This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious engineer who still enjoys being hands-on, with around 90% of the role on the tools, while taking responsibility for leading the shift engineering function.\n\nJoining a global business with multiple UK sites, you’ll benefit from excellent training, genuine progression opportunities, and a first-class benefits package.\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs Lead Engineer, you’ll be the go-to engineer on shift – leading from the front, supporting the team, and ensuring engineering performance exceeds expectations.\n\nYou’ll be responsible for:\n\nProviding hands-on engineering support across fast-paced production lines\n\nLeading and motivating engineers on shift to achieve and exceed KPIs\n\nActing as the first point of contact for technical issues and breakdowns\n\nSupporting reactive and planned maintenance activities\n\nDriving high standards of safety, performance, and reliability\n\nCoaching and developing engineers within the team\n\nWorking closely with production and operations to maximise uptime\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nStrong background in FMCG / food / packaging / fast-paced manufacturing engineering\n\nMulti-skilled engineer with excellent fault-finding ability\n\nNatural leader with a personable, positive approach\n\nSomeone who leads by example and can motivate others\n\nReady to step up into a leadership role, or existing Lead / Team Leader experience\n\nStrong communicator who can build relationships across site\n\nWhat’s On Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary\n\n10% annual bonus on top of salary\n\n4 on 4 off shift pattern (days & nights)\n\nExcellent overall benefits package\n\nOngoing training and development\n\nGenuine progression opportunities within a global business with multiple UK sites\n\nIf you’re ready to step into a leadership role without losing the hands-on side of engineering, apply today
